Young Chefs: Intermediate Culinary Arts

Calling all aspiring culinary chefs!

WE STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT CAMPERS INTERESTED IN THIS CAMP TAKE THE INTRODUCTION TO CULINARY ARTS CAMP BEFORE ENROLLING

Designed for motivated young chefs, our Intermediate Culinary Arts Camp offers campers ages 11–14 the opportunity to build upon foundational cooking skills and explore more sophisticated culinary techniques. This hands-on, immersive experience is ideal for students who are ready to challenge themselves, work with greater precision, and deepen their understanding of how a professional kitchen operates.

Campers will refine core skills such as knife handling, mise en place, proper measuring, and kitchen organization while advancing into more complex cooking methods, flavor development, and recipe execution. Through guided instruction, students will prepare a diverse menu of savory dishes, learning how to balance flavors, apply basic culinary theory, and elevate presentation.

Working both independently and in collaborative kitchen teams, campers will practice time management, problem-solving, and professional kitchen habits in a supportive, structured environment. By the end of the camp, students will have strengthened their technical abilities, expanded their culinary confidence, and gained the skills needed to take the next step in their culinary journey—whether at home or in future culinary programs.

Camp Start Date: Monday July 20th through Friday July 24th

Drop Off: 9:00 am – 9:15 am                                                   
Morning Kitchen Session: 9:15 am – 12:00 pm                        
Lunch: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm                                                     
Afternoon Kitchen Session: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm                        
Pick Up: 3:15 pm – 3:30 pm

Required Tool Kit
Campers are required to provide their own tool kits for each day of camp – these kits can either be purchased for an additional fee at the time of registration or created out of items from your home kitchen.
