High School Freshman and Sophomore International Institute
Explore the world through food. Our International Cuisine Culinary Camp is designed for high school freshmen ages 15–16 who are eager to expand their cooking skills while discovering the flavors, techniques, and traditions of cuisines from around the globe. This hands-on camp offers a deeper, more sophisticated culinary experience in a professional, kitchen-safe environment.
Throughout the week, students will prepare dishes inspired by regions such as Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. Campers will learn authentic cooking methods, spice usage, and flavor balancing while developing essential culinary skills including knife technique, mise en place, cooking temperatures, and proper kitchen workflow.
Instruction emphasizes cultural context, ingredient sourcing, and thoughtful presentation, helping students understand how history and geography influence global food traditions. Working both independently and in collaborative kitchen teams, campers will strengthen time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills—mirroring real-world culinary environments.
By the end of camp, participants will have broadened their culinary knowledge, refined their cooking techniques, and gained the confidence to recreate international dishes at home. This camp is ideal for students interested in culinary arts, global cultures, or simply taking their cooking to the next level.

Morning Kitchen Session: 9:15 am – 12:00 pm
Lunch: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Afternoon Kitchen Session: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Pick Up: 3:15 pm – 3:30 pm

Campers are required to provide their own tool kits for each day of camp – these kits can either be purchased for an additional fee at the time of registration or created out of items from your home kitchen.
